Jayson Wheat

Owner / Lead Instructor

Jayson Wheat is a retired U.S. Army veteran and the founder of TN Veterans Security Services and Training LLC, operating as The Security Firm LLC. He brings real‑world experience, professionalism, and a student‑first approach to every class he teaches.

During his military career, Jayson completed multiple overseas deployments—including Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, and Bosnia—where he gained extensive experience in threat assessment, weapons handling, and decision‑making under pressure. These experiences shape the practical, safety‑driven training he provides to students today.

Jayson is an NRA Certified Pistol Instructor, Tennessee Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit (EHCP) Instructor, and PPS Certified Instructor, authorized to train and certify both armed and unarmed security officers. Students appreciate his calm teaching style, clear communication, and ability to break down complex skills into simple, achievable steps.
