Active Shooter Response

For Non-Security Personnel

This training prepares individuals and organizations to respond effectively during an active shooter event. Participants learn survival strategies, situational awareness, and response protocols to protect themselves and others.

About This Training

Active Shooter Response training prepares individuals, schools, churches, and organizations across Tennessee to respond effectively during a critical incident. This course covers survival strategies, situational awareness, and response protocols based on nationally recognized frameworks such as Run, Hide, Fight, along with practical guidance on recognizing warning signs and pre-incident indicators.

With workplace and school safety a growing priority throughout Tennessee, this course equips participants with the knowledge and confidence to protect themselves and others in a high-stress emergency situation. The training covers how to develop an emergency action plan, communicate effectively during a crisis, and coordinate with law enforcement once they arrive on scene.

Ideal for businesses, schools, houses of worship, healthcare facilities, and security personnel seeking to strengthen their emergency preparedness plans, this course is often required under Tennessee's HB0322 for certain security officer classifications. Many Tennessee organizations now include this training as part of their standard emergency preparedness and workplace safety programs.
